While we hope that you will explore the many restaurants and bars in Hakuba, you won't have any regrets about a night spent in at the hotel. The White Horse Restaurant offers up gourmet Western dishes, with a Japanese influence. We have an extensive range of wines for you to enjoy with your meal, or head upstairs to the bar for a relaxed evening. Both the bar and restaurant are open to the public, so feel free to bring your friends back "home" with you.

About Hakuba

Ski and Snowboard in Hakuba

Hakuba was the host to the 1998 Nagano Olympics, leaving you with no doubt about the quality of the terrain or the depth of our powder. With 9 resorts to choose from in the valley area, there is something for everyone whether you are just starting out on your ski or snowboard journey, a park pro, or after some epic backcountry. Although things gradually taper off from April, with over 11 meters of average seasonal snowfall, you are almost guaranteed to get the goods regardless of the time you chose to visit - the bigger resorts are open until early May! Our "Ski Mate" program provided to all guests will get you to the right spot for any given day whatever your prefernce may be.

In addition to the snow, there are many points of interest in the immediate area, with day trips from Hakuba available in-house. No trip to Japan would be complete without seeing the famous snow-monkeys relaxing in their own private bath, a castle designated as a National Treasure, or the insanity of the Nozawa Fire-Festival.
